We’ve been making magical Girls Getaways for 20 years now so we can guess a lot of things you want to ask! What does the Butler do?

Available at Lavender Majestic Blue Mountains packages only.

Going away to a private house for a getaway as a woman often means you end up doing the same domestic tasks just in a different location.

At Venus Getaways we have designed your stay so that you don’t do that.

Your Butler will:

Fill and empty the dishwasher, make you tea and coffee, put together any platters of snacks you bring with you or order from us, heat and serve any meals you order through us, keep the fires and heating going in winter and air con in summer, light candles and put on music to create a wonderful ambience, advise you on what to do in the area and which restaurants and bars to go to, collect a takeaway order for you, lay the table for you, turndown your bed and change the lighting for the evening….the list goes on. Everything happens without you realising you needed it to happen.

That’s what makes our getaways the perfect break. It’s a true break from the chores of life.

Can we cook our own meals on our getaway?

Our accommodation venues have a full kitchen so you have the option to cook for yourselves if you wish.

Can we have meals catered for in our accommodation?

Yes you can, plus at Lavender Majestic your Butler can pick up a takeaway for you or we can also arrange pastas and salad meals and Soup and Cheese Platters. At all of our locations we can arrange deliveries of platters/grazing boxes etc. Please let us know if you have booked caterers.

What about alcohol?

When you book a girls getaway with us we book a whole house for your group. The premises are not licensed. As such you need to bring all of your own alcohol and soft drinks. (Which actually saves you money and means you get to drink exactly what you like!)

Do you provide any food?

The details of your package will advise what food we provide. Some venues are a breakfast basket, Lavender Majestic is a cooked breakfast and Beaches Mollymook we can arrange grazing boxes at an extra cost. We do provide tea and coffee to get you started at each venue and at Mollymook a welcome hamper of treats.

Are there supermarkets close by?

Blue Mountains:

There is a Coles, Aldi, Big W and Woolworths in Katoomba which is where Lavender Majestic is located.

Mollymook:

There is a fantastic little supermarket in Mollymook just a 2 min drive away, or Ulladulla, which is a 10 min drive south is a huge centre with everything from Coles to Woollies to Bunnings!

Are there some cafes and restaurants in the area?

Blue Mountains:

There are an abundance of great cafes and restaurants in the Blue Mountains especially in Leura, Katoomba and Blackheath. Leura is only 6 min or so drive from Katoomba and it’s a 10min drive to Blackheath.

Mollymook:

Rick Steins at Bannisters Restaurant

One of the main reasons we picked the house that we did in Mollymook is it’s proximity to Rick Stein’s Restaurant – its literally a 5 minute walk away! If you haven’t enjoyed any of Rick Stein’s cookery books or television series in the past I highly recommend you start now!

I find his gentle melancholic voice and his passion for seafood and simple fresh flavoured cookery both relaxing and refreshing at the same time.

There’s nothing try hard about Rick he just loves what he does and thankfully we get to enjoy it too!

So we recommend you book well in advance of your stay so you don’t miss out:

The Rooftop Bistro

Thankfully the lovely Peter that invested money in Bannisters to make it a great venue for all of us to enjoy has created another fabulous food and beverage venue to enjoy in Mollymook and its again in walking distance to the house – just a 10 min walk. Located rooftop and by the pool they offer great Bistro food and delicious cocktails and wines. The service has been excellent every time we’ve been we love it.

Mollymook Golf Club

If you’re looking for a great value feed of substantial proportion head to the Golf Club. It’s a sizeable venue located at the south end of Mollymook Beach great views in the day/early evening.

What’s the shopping like?

Blue Mountains:

Quite simply awesome. So many lovely shops to explore. Leura and Blackheath are my favourite for a good saunter and splurge. It’s actually great to plan and save up some extra cash to do some birthday present or Christmas shopping when you stay with us as you’ll find some really different things you don’t find in Sydney or just to spoil yourself for a change!

Mollymook:

There are some lovely shops to wander around in in Milton which is a 10 min drive from Mollymook, beautiful homewares, boutiques and great cafes to rest inbetween! Ulladulla also has some lovely boutiques and great surf shops.

Are taxis available to take us home from a restaurant/train station?

Blue Mountains:

Yes there is a good taxi service in the area. Simply call 4782 1311 or 131008 We do recommend booking taxis though rather than just calling last minute – as you can imagine there aren’t as many taxis in the mountains as there are in the city!

Mollymook:

What about if there are a big group of us, can we arrange transport?

What activities do your recommend?

Where are our treatments done?

Blue Mountains:

Your treatments are done on site at your accommodation venue so you can walk back to your sofa and snooze afterwards!

Lavender Majestic has a dedicated treatment room, your treatments will be done one after the other unless you are a large group in which case we set up a second massage bed in one of the bedrooms to do two at a time.

Do you provide hairdryers?

Yes we do, we also provide basic toiletries in the bathrooms.

Is there Free Wifi?

Yes there is.

What’s the best thing about staying with you instead of other places?

We like to think you’ll make happier memories with us and having a private space to yourselves means you can truly relax and feel Covid Safe. Many of our regular clients even at Lavender Majestic where they have our wonderful staff looking after them, arrive, change into their bathrobe and stay that way all weekend as they sip on their red wine and munch on their cheese platter. We love that they feel so relaxed with us, it’s a privilege to be trusted by such lovely girls.
