September 2021

Once upon a time, Byron Bay was called Cavvanbah when its was discovered by the aboriginals. Translated to “The Meeting Place”, to this day, it is still a haven that people flock to in groups, and is the perfect space for our Girls Getaways.

Nestled between beautiful beaches and luscious hinterlands, we have a number of properties in the Byron Bay region to suit groups of 6 to 12 girls. In this months blog we feature one of our Byron properties, Bangalow Heaven. The embodiment of everything Byron hinterlands has to offer with privacy, relaxed surroundings and just a short drive to beaches.

Read on for more about this amazing property and it’s surrounds along with our self-care and packing tip for the month. Thank you for reading and we look forward to hosting you at one of our properties soon.

Self-Care Tip

Treat your face

Pampering isn’t just about the luxurious products getting applied, it’s also about the time you take out to relax. Even a short little at-home pamper session can be beneficial for you, it gives your mind a chance to relax while your face takes in all the benefits of a good mask.

So make yourself somewhere lovely to relax, whether it’s lighting some candles in your bedroom, running a relaxing bath or getting a cup of tea ready to sit outside in the sunshine, then head to your bathroom and give your face a good double cleanse, pop on a mask and time to retreat to your space. It only takes 15-20 minutes, but give yourself time to soak in the mask, relax the shoulders and your breathing and slow everythingggg down.

Need some new skincare? we love the range from Delicious Vibrant and if you spend over $80, enter the Venus Getaways code GIFTWITHPURCHASE for a complimentary hand bag size hydrating face mist.

Some of our favourite masks? Transformazing Sheet Mask by Go-To $9, a serum drenched face sheet mask, for one easily available at Priceline and most supermarkets try a Garnier SkinActive Hydra Bomb Tissue Face Mask $5.99, after the ultimate luxury mask? try the La Mer Intensive Revitalising Mask $250.

Packing Tip

Washing Bag

No-one looks forward to getting home after a holiday. Not only are you out of holiday-mode, you have to do all the laundry! Make life a little bit easier, pop into your luggage a washing bag that you can use when your away so when you get home it’s easy to sort clean from dirty clothes (cause who doesn’t overpack and have heaps of clean clothes left at the end of a trip?!?).

Our suggestion is use a durable drawstring fabric bag that can also go into the wash – don’t use a plastic bag, they get sweaty and smelly. A drawstring bag makes it easy to open and close while you are away, and at the end of the trip, just empty all your washing from the bag and chuck the laundry bag in as well for a wash ready for the next use.

Some of our suggestions: Globlite Travel Laundry Bag $10, The Beach People Cotton Laundry Bag $12,
